Position Title: Research Technician

LOCATION:
Shanghai

Primary Responsibilities:
- In compliance with assigned work order, to operate equipment in the process halls for product demonstration and / or equipment in the laboratories for product analysis for data generation
- Record all data accurately and in compliance with relevant management systems including OIMS and DIAF
- Carry out daily operations checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure high degree of operability and reliability
- Responsible for ensuring that the Operating & Maintenance Procedures for the equipment assigned to him / her are kept current and accurately represents the conditions under which the equipment operates. If not, he / she should initiate the appropriate management of change to enable the procedure to be revised, reviewed and approved in a timely manner

Primary Activities:
-Abide with all safety, security and Controls procedures and practices to ensure site security and Controls, personal safety and safety of co-workers and visitors
-Operate equipment in accordance with prescribed operating procedures and protocols in a safe and environmentally sound manner
-Carry out operations checks on equipment to ensure equipment consistently has high level of operational reliability. Report if equipment reliability, accuracy or calibration is suspect
-Review and propose update of operational procedures as needed
-Provide accurate data to Technology ATD engineers relevant to the task at hand
-Comply with all OIMS systems including issuing of work permits under OIMS 6.2 Work Permit
-Under the guidance of the Laboratory Supervisor, work in partnership with Technology - ATD engineers / equipment owners to develop and implement testing programs

Requirements of Candidates:
-Bachelor degree in Engineering or Science
-Campus hires are preferred but inexperienced hires will be considered
-Good command of English in reading, comprehension and writing. Ability to converse in English will be an asset
-Strong personal integrity and work ethics
-Good interpersonal teamwork skills while also being an independent worker and self-motivator
-Working computer skills knowledge including Microsoft Office

Position Title: Technical Services Engineer

Job description:
- Provide technical support to customers and maintain close relationships with customers
- Resolve process and performance issues related to ExxonMobil products
- Support and train Asian Sales Team on value selling and technology
- Translate customer/market needs into new product development opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers of equipment and additives used by customers in processing our resins
- Work with our Global Technology organizations in the U.S. and Europe for both laboratory support and joint development programs
- Contribute as a member of regional or global teams, typically in a virtual environment

Job description:
- Develop new sales accounts with emphasis on value selling
- Handle sales activities, particularly introducing new and differentiated products to support business growth
- Keep abreast of sales account and market activities, visit customer regularly, write visit reports and generate sales account plans
- Collect and analyze market information and provide feedback to management
- Contribute as a member of regional or global teams, typically in a virtual environment
- Follow-up on customer payments
- Provide after-sale customer service

- Support Sales on administrative matters related to selling activities
- Interact with Sales, Supply Chain and other relevant parties to ensure orders are processed smoothly
- Manage on-shore inventory
- Assist sales manager in sales stewardship
- Administrate the customer visit report system
- Coordinate self-assessments and audits
- Contribute as a member of regional or global teams, typically in a virtual environment

Job description:
- Execute sales orders in Order to Cash process in our Global Enterprise System
- Interact with Sales, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarder, Bank and other relevant parties to ensure that order is processed smoothly
- Ensure that required procedure & business rules are being followed during order processing
- Handle customer feedback in a timely manner
- Take lead in team activities
- Work with supervisor on special projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor degree holders
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
- Able to work independently and at the same time a team player
- Technical background (Engineering or Science) is not required but a plus

Job description:
- Support the development of molding, simulation and instrumented tooling capability in our Shanghai Technology Center
- Conduct injection molding-related application development and use simulation / modeling as effective tools to support various business units
- Provide demonstrations and training to our technology team, sales team and customers
- Work with our global technology organization in US and Europe for simulation support and development programs

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering with Polymer Science focus or Polymer Processing Engineering
- Experience in polymer processing
- Strong knowledge of injection molding or tooling technology or flow simulation and finite element analysis
- Knowledge of polymer structure and morphology and polymer processing
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
- Able to work independently and as a team player
