Oracle embarked on the China market in 1989 to become the first global software titan to come to China. Oracle China has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu and two development centers in Beijing and Shenzhen, and is now having operation in major growth cities in China.

Oracle Asia Research and Development Center (OARDC) was firstly established in China in 2002 to contribute to Oracle's product development process and the growth of the Chinese market. With its rich pool of talented engineers in Asia, the Center's focus is now shifting to emerging technology research, while retaining its key role as an offshore development center covering the entire rangeof Oracle's technology and applications.
