OAM Test Engineer

Position Title: UMTS OAM Integration Engineer
Location: Beijing

Responsibility:
In the challenging context of UMTS wireless projects, R&D OAM department is hiring an integration engineer who will be in charge of building and testing the whole OAM solution, hardware platforms and software, and delivering it with a high standard of quality (TL9000 level) to Alcatel operations teams and customers.

The OAM product is the supervision component of the overall UMTS network and is based on a software distributed architecture with several machines.

The candidate will join a dynamic team, will work into an international context and will strongly interact with several R&D labs world wide.

R&D OAM department brings a challenging environment with opportunities to work on complex technologies, to develop skills on UMTS networks.

The key accountabilities for the mission are :
- Analyze, develop and execute OAM products/releases integration plans
- Identify, investigate, report and follow with design teams all issues raised during tests activities
- Support and knowledge / expertise transfer to operations teams in order to ensure the successful network deployment on customer sites

Requirements
• Experience: Two years in SW development and/or integration in UMTS and/or OAM is required. New graduate with high potential could fit the role.
• Unix / Shell knowledge is required : 1 year minimal
• A general telecom knowledge would be appreciated
• Technical interest, ability to understand complex technical issues, investigation methodology
• Technical knowledge : XML, Java, Object oriented DB/Versant, distributed architecture CORBA, TCP-IP, Solaris, Oracle
• Knowledge on telecom Security / GUI (Graphic User Interface) would be appreciated
• Good knowledge of English (written & spoken ), CET-6
• Good interpersonal skills, communication, team work
• Experience in the industry or s/w development company is desirable. Working experience in international telecom/software companies is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree is the least, major in Computer science, telecommunication is preferred.
