| Business Group/Platform: Wireless BG Department: 3G Position Title: UMTS OAM Software Developers Location: Beijing |
| Responsibility: • In the challenging context of UMTS wireless projects, R&D department is looking for software engineers to develop UMTS Access OAM system. This product is developed using JAVA/C++/TCL/Shell scripts. The candidate will join a dynamic team and will work into an international context. • The candidate will be responsible for UMTS Access OAM modules like Fault Management, GUI, Network Element Configuration, etc. • Knowledge into telecommunication network will be appreciated, especially in the domain of UMTS access network. • This technical position requires programming skills, involvement in all stages of the development process (specifications, development, target testing, documentation, support), and communication skills to interface with project stakeholders (architects, project managers, integration & design teams). |
| Requirements Mandatory • Strong C++/Java or TCL/Shell script programming skills & experience • Profound OOAD knowledge, familiar with s/w development processes • Fluent in English reading and writing, mid-level English communication skills • Professional and effective communications both internally and externally • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Highly self-motivated and autonomous in the work • Good team work spirit and willing to contribute to the team’s success • Knowledge of a source management tool (Clearcase, CVS). Optional • Experience in CORBA is a plus • Knowledge of UNIX environment • Basic knowledge of Wireless system (UMTS, GSM, CDMA, etc) architecture • Experience in design and development of comprehensive s/w system • Experience in s/w development in a TL9000 certificated Telecommunication Company • Experience in the industry or s/w development company is desirable. Working experience in international telecom/software companies is a plus. Bachelor's degree is the least, major in Computer science, telecommunication is preferred. |
